The joys of high school schedules

I remember in high school I ended up in the guidence counselors office every year on the first day of school to have my schedule fixed. Now it's times to do it with the kiddos. We had to go to school yesterday to turn in paperwork, get schedules etc. (this is all done before the 1st day of school). My son is scheduled for English 9 and English 10, he passed English 9. I can honestly say I wouldn't want to be a guidence counselor when it comes to fixing all of the mistakes on schedules!!

My daughter got money for her birthday from all of her Grandparents. I asked her " so what are you going to buy with your birthday money"? Her reply: "shoes" We went shopping and she came home with a pair of sneakers, flip flops, dressy boots and a pair of slippers :) Now of course this works well as she likes a variety of styles in clothing so it gives her different shoes to go with the different outfits, but I can't even begin to imagine what it will be like when she is a teenager!!

Are clothes to sexy for little girls?

Okay, so I have been looking at clothes for my eight year old daughter. Are clothes getting to "sexy" for little girls or am I just getting old? Some of the clothes I saw looked like they belonged on someone much older. They even had little girls bras that were padded? I seriously am not looking forward to my daughter needing a bra, and when the time comes I won't be buying a padded one to make them look bigger!!! Maybe I just don't get out enough....but the styles seem a little "too old" for little girls...

A new driver!!!

I knew this day would come but did it have to come so fast!!!?? My oldest son passed the test for his driver's permit, with a 100!!! but the idea that he is now old enough to drive, is scary!!

8 years old already!!??

Today is my daughters 8th birthday. I don't know where the last 8 years have gone, it certainly doesn't seem like it has been that long!!

Is it morning already rooster?

It is 4:30 in the morning and I can't sleep. So here I am on the computer. One of my roosters has decided it is morning and time to start crowing!! Not so sure the neighbors will find any humor in it!! He seems to be a confused rooster, crowing extremely early in the morning, all hours of the day right into the evening. I have tried to have a talk with him about proper crowing times to no avail. Maybe it is because I don't "speak" rooster that he looks at me with that crazy look and just crows again....

The economy & where it is going

Does anyone else wonder where we will end up with the economy going the way it is? I look around and there are so many businesses that now sit empty, so many houses with for sale signs on them. Each time I go to the grocery store I find higher prices, and there is absolutely no job market. I honestly have to wonder where we will end up if things do not change soon..
